Our 2025 Summer Reading theme is: Level Up at Your Library. Our focus this year is on games. It is difficult to find speakers and performers on the topic of gaming, so we have a variety of presentations on non-game related topics, BUT we are having Lego Club and Game Night every week. In 2024, our theme was Read, Renew, Repeat! We had 75 children finish our Summer Reading Program. Our SRP finale was a petting zoo that adults and children alike seemed to love. Throughout the summer, we had story time once a week along with a variety of other programs. We watched The Lorax, had programs from the 4-H Extension Center, and Macon County Conservation. Stay tuned for the 2025 theme. We would love to have your participate.
In 2023, we had 120 children sign up for our Summer Reading Program- Reading Under the Big Top. We also had over 80 finishers! This summer you were able to meet bats and other animals, participate in a Wet and Wild Program, watched The Greatest Showman, saw a circus performer and a Shriners Clown, and our teens painted a permanent addition to our lawn.
